Clockwork Ballerina by HopperARTZ Clockwork Ballerina by HopperARTZ
After five months of on again off again work. I am finally finished! And Iím so happy how she turned out.
Some of the colors have been changed from the original sprite, mostly because I didn't have the right thread or judged the color wrong and was to lazy to fix. =p

Now excuse me while I find a less ambitious project to do. XD

Original Sprite by ~Mercedes1000 (her sprites are amazing. go. now. fave them all. doooo iiitt. )

Original Design by *ooneithoo (her art is awesome. go and fave. and while your at it sprite more of it so I can cross-stitch it)

I've always thought that it would be cool to cross stitch a doll since it's the same concept but I don't the the patience to cross stitch. This is just so awesome :la:

I wish you had the pattern so I could make one :P That would look lovely on my wall :P you did such a good job. Which program do you use to make pictures into patterns???

Actually I don't use a program for most of my projects. Since pixel art is already made using small squares of colors I just enlarge the picture in any photo viewing program (I just use my computer's default one) and count the squares like a pattern. If ya need lines to help count there is a good tutorial around her to show how to do that. Hold on, lemme see if I can find it. [link] Haha! Here it is.

As for colors, ehhh, I just have to judge that as I go. I have a pretty large thread collection so I just browse through it till I find a color that comes close enough to what is on the pixel.

And I hope that explains it and you'll have to excuse my rambling. I tend to do that a lot. XD

OMG that's GENIUS! I'm sooo stupid how did I not think of that?

lol I'm soooo gonna try that! Like right now! I have a pretty big collection of threads as well. I'm sure that'll be fine. Thanks so much for your help :) and for thank you for the :+fav: it means a lot to me.

oh and that wasn't rambling :)

lol Glad to shine some light on it. I see cross-stitchers doing game sprites all the time so I decided to try it on a slightly larger scale. Just make sure to give yourself lots of room on the cloth while making it. Sometimes ya never know how big a pixel is going to be translated onto to cloth. I've had many times when I wasn't sure if I was going to run out of room or not. XD

Ah, and always make sure to ask the original artist for permission first. I've found that most are pretty cool with it, but there are some that prefer that folks didn't.

And you are very welcome. It was a very sweet bookmark. =D
